Ǧuz’ markers consist of various circles in black: single, single with dot, double, double with a dot, quadruple, quadruple with dot. Some markers have the word ǧuz’ written either inside the circle or outside. Ṯumn markers in black.

The marginal note consists of Arabic letter forms or resemble them. The letters appear drawn rather than written and the letter combinations are unreadable. The only word that can be easily read is Allāh in the lower end of the framed area. The text could be a copy of an amulet.
