يا قوم
يا قوم أذنى لبعض الحى عاسقة – والأذن تعسق قبل العين أحيانا
/
قالوا بمن لا ترى هوى فقلت لهم – الأذن كالعين تؤتى القلب أحيانا

وقال العلامة الحاج أحمد النور الجغرسى أستاذنا الذى هو داحر البدع وقاهر العنيد الشبدع العقرب الداهية
متعه الله بطول الحياة ونفعنا بعلومه آمين

بالله لا تقطعو عنا رسائلكم – فاءن فيها شفاء السمع والبصر
/
فانسو نايها ان عز قربكم – فالأنس بالسمع مثل الأنس بالنظر

ووجدت بخطه أيضا أبقاه الله بالسلامة

يحلل نار الشوق برد النوى كما – يحلل ثلج الجوعنا الأذان
/
كتبنا لكم تلك الحروف على الظما – نيابة وجه حل فيه العيان

ووجدت أيضا على قماش فيه خطه الشريف

بحبيب زارتي متعرضا - فيدا الوشاة له فولى معرضا
/
فكاننى وكانه وكأنهم – أمل ونيل[؟] حال بينهما القضا

Amalgamation of notes and poetic verses. While the scribe behind this note does not reveal his identity the handwritting and the reference to al-Ǧaġarsī suggests that it was written by Muḥammad Šāhid. The first two verses, which start with ”yā qawm” are ascribed elsewhere to Bašār bin Bard al-ʻUqīlī. The second two verses starting with “bi-allah lā taqṭaʻū” appear to be a modified version of two verses ascribed to Ṣafī al-Dīn al-Ḥillī.
