Biographic comments
His family was originally from Qazwīn. He has been chief judge in Damascus (724 H), Cairo (727 H) then he was exiled in Damascus in 738 H by sultan al-Mālik al-Nāṣir. He kept there his office of qāḍī until his death.
He is mainly known for his works on eloquence.
