Biographic comments
Among the main exponents of the Akbarian Sufi school, stemmed out from the teachings of Ibn ʿArabī. He is known mainly for his Quranic commentary and his Glossary of Sufi terms. The number of texts worngly attributed to him testifies for his enormous influence on later developments of taṣawwuf. He can be considered not only as an interpreter of Ibn ʻArabī's teachings, as he often took a different point of view on essential esoteric questions.
