Tije
The site was previously part of the ancient Kingdom of Gomma. The manuscript collection was stored outside the Mosque and qubba of Shekota Tije al-Qurārī (d. 1917?) a master of the Tiǧāniyya order who was married with a daughter of Abba Jifar II, King of the Gibe Kingdom of Jimma (r. 1878–1932). Manuscripts and printed texts are very badly preserved, being the most part only small paper fragments, loose folios and quires.
